We are hiring a Senior QA Automation Engineer<\/strong> in South Africa to join a remote agile delivery team building enterprise-grade software solutions.<\/p>\n

This role is ideal for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer \/ SDET<\/strong> who is passionate about test automation, continuous delivery, and embedding quality throughout the software development lifecycle.<\/p>\n

You will work within cross-functional agile teams to design, implement, and evolve automated testing frameworks that support modern CI\/CD pipelines and high-velocity software delivery.<\/p>\n

Please note: Must be based in South Africa (no sponsorship available)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Responsibilities of the Senior QA Automation Engineer<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • \n

    Embedding quality engineering practices<\/strong> across the full SDLC<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Designing and maintaining automated test frameworks<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Implementing API, UI, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) test automation<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Supporting continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI\/CD)<\/strong> pipelines<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Driving improvements in test strategy, test coverage, and non-functional testing<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Collaborating closely with developers in pair programming and code reviews<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Contributing to architectural discussions with a focus on testability, scalability, and resilience<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Mentoring team members in modern QA and automation best practices<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Supporting performance, load, and reliability testing initiatives<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Required Skills for a QA Automation Engineer<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • \n

      8+ years\u2019 experience as a Senior QA Engineer, QA Automation Engineer, or SDET<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Strong experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Solid understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Lean delivery methodologies<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Hands-on experience with CI\/CD tools and DevOps practices<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Experience with automation tools such as:<\/p>\n

        \n
      • \n

        Selenium, Cypress, Playwright (or similar)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Strong knowledge of:<\/p>\n

          \n
        • \n

          Test strategy and test design techniques<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Non-functional testing (performance, security, reliability)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Test data management<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Comfortable contributing to code in one or more programming languages<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
