You must be based in South Africa (no sponsorship available).  This freelance role is ideal for an expert who thrives in a remote environment and possesses a deep understanding of the local e-commerce landscape. You will work closely with our technology and partnerships teams to ensure seamless store migrations and technical stability.

Core Responsibilities

• Store Optimization: Develop and customize high-performing Shopify stores for various partner brands within the network.

• Technical Onboarding: Support the partnerships team by managing the technical integration of new Shopify brands.

• App Integration: Introduce and maintain brand presence within the specialized reseller application.

• Training & Support: Provide necessary technical training to brand partners to ensure they maximize the platform’s integration features.

• System Maintenance: Regularly monitor and optimize store performance to ensure a bug-free experience for both suppliers and resellers.

Essential Requirements for a Shopify Developer South Africa

• Industry Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in developing and managing Shopify environments.

• Market Knowledge: You must have previously worked with at least one established Shopify brand within the South African market.

• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Shopify Plus, third-party application integrations, and local payment gateway configurations.

• Communication: Excellent cross-functional communication skills and the ability to translate technical requirements for non-technical stakeholders.
